How to Kayak

The great outdoors has many exciting things to offer you to help get you the exercise you desire while allowing you to see the beauty of nature. Of these many things, kayaking is a classic favorite that you may find enjoyable. Kayaking is fun and very easy to do if you follow a few simple steps.
First: Get ready
The first step to kayaking is placing the kayak on the shallow bank alongside the waterway you wish to explore. Getting into the kayak for the first time is tricky, so do not get discouraged if you are unsuccessful the first few tries. Place one foot inside the kayak first, and then balance your way into the kayak to fully find your footing. Once you have accomplished this task, you can move on to the next step.
Second: Get set
If you have not previously kayaked then it is imperative that you test out your ability in the kayak prior to entering the waterway. Lean side to side and find how much is too much and how much force you need to properly guide the kayak along the water. Find a comfortable position that you can sit in for the full kayak experience, since the water does not allow for much adjustment.
Third: Then go
After completing the first two steps, you are then ready to kayak the waterway. Push your kayak off the water bank with the paddle and systematically paddle along the water. Paddle once on one side, then paddle the next time on the other side. Once you have mastered paddling, you are officially kayaking.
